Audience feedback sheets information
Tara was kind enough to put all of the information on the feedback sheets onto a word document. We were very happy with the feedback we received as most people said they liked the 2 minute film opening and 66/89 people said their were no improvements to make. Below is the link to the document.

Film classification
When my group and I were deciding on a rating for our film we were torn between a '12' or a '15'. After looking at the BBFC website we deciding on the rating '15' for our film.

We decided not to have our film a rating of '12' because...
Although their isn't any violence in the opening two minutes of the film, as our main protagonist is a drug abuser there would more than likely be violence. Also a major part of the film would be the patient dying due to being prescribed the wrong drugs by the protagonist. This would mean that blood and injuries would have a major part in the film and therefore our film wouldn't suit a rating of a '12.'
Although drugs would not be glamorised in our film as our film would show the side effects of drugs which would hopefully discourage people from taking them, they would still have a major role in the film as our protagonist is a drug abuser.
After much consideration we decided to rate our film a '15' because...

In no way are the drugs in our film encouraged. Our film actually shows the unpleasant side of drugs so our film would fit the rating '15.'

Media showcase
Today my group and I showed our 2 minute film opening at the media showcase. It was really good to hear what other people thought about our film opening. We also got to watch the other film openings and the A2 music videos which was really great. We look forward to reading the feedback written on the feedback sheets.

Speech for Media Showcase
In the lesson today my group and I had to decide on a speech for one of us to say to introduce our 2 minute film opening at the media showcase. The speech we decided on is about 2 minutes long and gives some background information on our film opening. My group and I hope that when people have finished watching the film opening they will be intrigued to find out what happens next. If this happens my group and I will have successfully completed our task.

Editing
Today my group and I realised that the words on the pill bottle weren't showing up when playing the full 2 minute opening in imovie. This meant that we had to export the film for the words to be shown. We also realised when watching the 2 minute opening, after we had exported it, that the words came onto the pill bottle too late so we changed the time when the 'A Martin Julian film' words appeared on the pill bottle. We also made the words fade in so they appeared on the pill bottle gradually.

Film editing
Today my group and I finally managed to fit the words 'A Martin Julian Film' onto the pill bottle at the beginning of the film opening. Here is a vlog explaining today in further detail.
Me and Rhiannes vlog on film editing
Today Mac 5 have been editing our film opening. We have been trying to fit the 'A Martin Julian Film' words onto the pill bottle at the beginning of the film opening but it's not fitting at the moment so we have been playing around with the font size to try and make it fit. Here's a vlog by me and Rhianne explaining today in further detail.

Update on 2 minute film opening
During Wednesday and Fridays lesson my group and I have cut out the scene of Hannah smoking as it didn't look realistic. We also changed the order of some of the scenes so the film makes more sense and have finished the VoiceOver. We now need to finish the title sequence and then hopefully we will be finished. We are planning to meet up later in the week to finish the title sequence so hopefully our 2 minute film opening will be completed by the end of the week.

Title sequence
In our 2 minute film opening our title sequence is further in to the film opening than usual. This is because we thought the place we put the title sequence was the best place for them as if it wasn't there then there would be two different scenes back to back and so would confuse the audience as they wouldn't know where the actress was. The title sequence solves this problem as it shows that time has passed since the last scene.

Sequence of the 2 minute film opening
In todays lesson my group and I realised that in our two minute film opening Hannah ends up in a bathroom but no one really knows where the bathroom is, therefore we are going to change the sequence of a few of the shots to make the plot easier to understand. We are also going to cut out Hannah smoking because it doesn't look realistic.
Film editing
In todays lesson my group and I have been finishing off our 2 minute film opening. We still have to do the voice over and the title sequence but hopefully this should be finished by the end of the day.
Background music for our two minute film opening
We have finally finished making the music for our two minute film opening. It was very slow and time consuming but after weeks of hard work we have finally finished it. Below is a screen shot of the project in audacity.

Storyboarding
Here is our storyboards for our 2 minute film opening. Some of the shots we have are different to how they look on our storyboard because when we put the shots into action some of them didn't look right or didn't fit into the 2 minute film opening so we had to change them or cut them out. We have also added a few extra shots to makes the 2 minute film opening flow more.
Here is the opening scene where me and Hannah Connolly are in the surgery. One of the shots had to be cut because in the shot before Hannah Connolly had her glasses on but in the next shot she had them off so we needed to cut it otherwise it wouldn't look realistic and it wouldn't flow.
This is another storyboard of the opening scene in the surgery. We still need to film Hannah Connolly and I leaving the room, which we are hoping to film tonight.
This is a storyboard of the bathroom scene where Hannah Connolly washes her face. We decided to add another shot where an underwater camera captures her washing her face from in the sink.

Mac 5 film opening draft 2
Here is mac 5's film opening draft 2. We still have a lot of work to do including changing sections of the sound to make it more in sync with the film opening and we also need to film me and Hannah Connolly walking out of the surgery door, so we are hoping to back there tomorrow evening.

Mac 5 vlog on title sequence
Today we have been editing our 2 minute film opening and deciding on where to put the title sequence and what titles we are going to use. Here is a video of us explaining our title sequence.
Voiceover recording
This week we have been deciding who would be the voice of our voiceover. On Monday we tried Janel saying the script. At first, we recorded the voiceover on Garageband and imovie but it sounded like an echo and so we re recorded it on our camera. Here is a picture of Janel recording the voiceover.
We are also going to try Hannah Connolly recording the voiceover and then choose whose voice we think suits the movie best.

Props, makeup and costume
Hannah Connolly, the main actress, wore very formal clothes to show she is a professional psychiatrist.
The colours of her outfit are very dark colours to show she is shady.
Hannah's hair is not tied up so it can fall in front of her face to make her look more hidden.
Hannah didn't wear much makeup because we thought it would make her look less professional and we wanted her to look sophisticated.
This was the pill bottle that Hannah took her drugs from. Originally we was going to put a title on the pill bottle but we decided not to because we thought the text would be too small.
This is the prescription we used that Hannah C administrates to me. We used a real prescription to make it look more realistic.

My vlog on Mac 5's last day of filming
My group and I have finally finished filming for our 2 minute film opening. We are now waiting for the footage to upload onto the mac so we can edit the scene we have just filmed. We used Tara's camera and the schools underwater camera to film. We filmed in the school six form toilets and after an hour of filming and 38 shots we finally have the perfect shots to use.
Final filming day (hopefully)
Today Mac 5 filmed the bathroom scene in the school six form toilets. After what we thought would be a half an hour filming we ended up filming for over an hour to get the perfect shots. This sadly though meant Hannah Connolly had to repeatedly splash water in her face and dry her face.
While filming we put up a 'Filming in Progress' sign so people wouldn't enter the toilets.
Here are some pictures from the day...
In this picture we were discussing whether we liked the previous shot, which was Hannah Connolly splashing water in her face, or whether we should re shoot it. We decided to re shoot to be on the safe side but sadly this meant that had to splash water in her face again.
Here is a picture of Tara filming Hannah Connolly.
Here is a picture of Hannah Connolly and Rhianne laughing after the filming went wrong.
In this picture Hannah is looking down to the floor in sorrow.
In this picture we were discussing how to shoot the next shot.

Editing day 2
Today my group and I carried on editing our 2 minute film opening. We changed the order of some of the clips around to make the film flow more. We have also decided to blur the dialogue out and put a voiceover over the top. Here is our vlog on todays work.

Semi mac 5 vlog on editing
Below is mine, Rhianne and Tara's vlog on editing. We have found editing to be a very slow process but we have hopefully almost finished editing one of our scenes. We will continue editing tomorrow where Tayla will be able to join us.
Blurred Vision
In our film opening my group and I want a blurred effect when the psychiatrist is on screen to show she is confused. We practised the blurred effect with me playing the psychiatrist (Hannah Connolly plays the psychiatrist in the actual film opening.) We filmed outside the media room. Below is our video.

My groups Film Production name
My group and I have decided on a name for our Film Production. We have decided to call it wildfire and for the opening sequence we are thinking of having the name written on a piece of paper and then either having it burnt with a lighter or put in a fire. We are not certain if this is how we are going to show the name because, although we like the idea, we're not sure if it looks too sinister for our film opening as we are making a psychological film opening, not a horror film opening.
Gogglebox
Here is my Groups Gogglebox. We had to watch a Doctor who clip and then talk about how sexism is shown in the clip. It was really fun filming but editing was very stressful and hard but it helped me get used to editing for when my group and I edit our actual 2 minute film opening.

Review on the Woman in Black 2
Yesterday I went and saw the woman in black 2 at the cinema. Apart from the gripping story line and the amazing acting I saw, when I wasn't hiding under my jumper in sheer terror, the film for me was brilliant in many other ways too. The camera angles used throughout the film were very inventive and they gave me great ideas on different shots my group could use for our 2 minute film opening. The music used in the film was also brilliant especially in the lead up to dramatic moments. Although my group aren't doing horror for our opening two minutes of a film I still thought the film was very helpful as it gave me many different ideas on how we could make our film opening.

Mac 5 have nearly finished filming
Today my group and I, including Hannah Connolly, were kindly given permission by Taras mum to film in her surgery for one of our scenes. The filming was a great success and we have hopefully finished filming another scene for our film opening. We now have one more scene to film and then tons of editing to be getting on with before we have a finished film opening. Here are a few pictures from Today.

Mac 5 have finished filming a scene
On Wednesday my group and I, along with Hannah Connolly, went to Enfield town to finish filming one of our scenes for our film opening. After many, many takes we finally have, what we hope, a finished, realistic scene. Here are some pictures from Monday and Wednesday.

Vlog on first day of filming
Sorry it took me a long time to upload but this is Mac 5's vlog on our first day of filming. We filmed the lights flickering and me scratching my hands which we have decided to film again.
