Mac 5's filming day

Yesterday my group and I, along with Hannah Connolly our main actress, went to Enfield town to film for our film opening. Two hours of hard work and 26 takes later and we have very nearly finished filming a scene for our film opening. We will be going on Friday to Tara's mums office to film the other scenes and will also go back to Enfield town to finish filming the scene we started yesterday. I will be uploading pictures and videos of yesterday's filming day very soon.

Mac 5 have started filming

The other day my group and I starting filming for our 2 minute film opening. We managed to film the lights flickering and we test filmed a girl scratching her hands. We have decided to film the lights flickering again because the camera angles from one shot to another don't flow.

BFI group vlog

The other day the class went to the BFI. It was a very interesting day and I learnt a lot of information about how to get the tops marks for my groups film opening. My group decided to change our idea after we left the BFI because we thought our idea wasn't very original and so we have now come up with a new idea for our film opening.

Se7en opening title sequence

During the last few lessons the class watched the movie Se7en, directed by David Fincher. I particulary paid close attention to the opening title sequence to see if I could get any ideas for my groups opening film sequence. The films opening sequence is a short story told in fragments and vignettes following the hands of an unknown man (presumably the killer) while he makes diary entries alongside clippings from books and self-developed photographs giving the audience an insight into the mind of a serial killer.
Many editing techniques are used including jump cuts to give an unsettling atmosphere and short high pitch screams can be heard through out the piece to create a disturbing and eerie mood.

Below is the art for the opening sequence.
